Our hub supplies free food to 60 social service agencies across the region
We’re the central hub that distributes healthy food to 60 nonprofit partner agencies on the front lines of social services and hunger relief. Our food delivers more than nutrition. We enable social service agencies to focus their resources on their programs without having to pay for food. The network of community food pantries, we supply provides food security to people in need and helps to prevent homelessness.

Preventing Homelessness: Because No One Should Lose Their Home From Hunger
Hunger shouldn’t cost someone their home. On LA’s Westside, too many seniors, veterans, and families are forced to choose between paying rent and buying groceries. By providing free, healthy food through our partner agencies, Westside Food Bank helps neighbors save over $300 each month — enough to keep the lights on and a roof overhead.
It’s simple: preventing hunger helps prevent homelessness, and it’s far more compassionate (and less costly) than trying to solve it once it happens.
Behind every meal is a system that works
Westside Food Bank uses a streamlined logistics and warehouse system to get healthy food where it’s needed most. We buy in bulk at low wholesale prices, receive donations from local farms and partners, and sort and package everything with the help of volunteers. Then, our nonprofit partner agencies pick up the food and deliver it directly to neighbors in need.
